Research for founders

I write up what goes wrong when an app takes on real users or money, often an app built with AI tools: what it has cost people, and what you can check yourself. I'm Bryce Watson, a software engineer, and these come from the apps I read, the posts founders write before they launch, and published incidents and research.

Each piece lists its sources and labels its numbers: measured when I counted it myself or read it on the source that owns the fact, reported when a named source says it and I can't check it myself, and derived when it's my own reasoning. I never name an app I've read, or a person who asked me for help, without their written OK; a published incident I name the way its source reports it.

The seven fears founders post before putting real users or money on an app, what several have cost people, and a check you can run for each.
